Christmas in the Courtyard

We're putting logs on the fire, warming up the mulled wine, and getting out our best Christmas jumpers for the Hugo Burge Foundation's Christmas Makers Market! On December 12th, we invite you to come in from the cold and meet the incredibly talented makers and creators.

The studios surrounding the Courtyard will host a variety of resident and visiting makers. Come see the beautiful handmade items, made in Scotland by craftspeople and find something to take home. Makers will be happy to have fun and friendly chats about their work, including the Marchmont Workshop, silversmiths from the Marchmont Silversmithing Workshop Katie Watson, Jessica Awaritefe, Iona Hall, and Freya Jeavons as well as springboard studio holders Kirsty Bell, Scarlett Farrer, and Anna Ólafsson, as well as Sara Rhys and other visiting artists as well! Keep an eye here to learn more about who is coming. 

We'll have hot drinks in the Courtyard from Adventure Beans and plenty of baked goods, made by the residents. We'll also be having some live music by the fireplace to warm the spirits.

Entry to the event is completely free to all! You just need to book a time slot for your car in our parking lot. 

It's a cosy art wonderland, and the perfect place to buy your presents, so we're looking forward to seeing you there!
