Stories inspired by our region, written by authors from our region.
Challenging the Tides: An Anthology of Hope explores a range of positive futures our area could look forward to. It is a collection of ten stories focusing on how people might adapt to the challenges from coastal erosion, flooding, food and medical shortages. Not with fear, or war, but using what Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire knows best. Community, family, and friendships.
The stories use iconic locations that readers will be familiar with. The Humber Bridge, Victoria Avenue, Spurn Lighthouse, Honeysuckle Farm, Hornsea and Barton Haven Shipyard to name a few.
Authors hail from Hull and East Yorkshire. Guest contributors have connections to the area, and have visited Hull and Beverley as part of the Humber Speculative Fiction social events. To top it all off we're pleased to introduce new writers Jaydon Nolan and Will Slater.
