The John and Pat Hume Foundation invites you to the launch of the Women's Charter for Inclusive Constitutional Futures 11.30-1pm 13 December 2024, MD106 - Minor Hall, Martha Magee Building Ulster University Derry/Londonderry Northland Road, Londonderry BT48 7JL

The Charter is an output of the Critical Epistemologies Across Borders Project generously funded by the North-South Research Programme. The research project created safe, inclusive, dialogic spaces for women to discuss constitutional issues.

Fidelma Ashe, Professor of Politics and Member of the Transitional Justice Institute, will present the Charter's 8 principles for inclusive constitutional futures. A panel discussion will follow.

The Charter does not advocate for Irish unity or the retention of Northern Ireland’s union with Britain. The aim of the Charter is to ensure that women on the island participate in any discussion or constitutional transition that would affect their lives and the lives of the minority groups.
