The Programme for Government Commitment to Peace – What Has Happened?

The Peace Summit Partnership is hosting a seminar on The Programme for Government Commitment to Peace – What Has Happened?

to be held on the morning of Monday 29 June 2026 in the Duncairn Centre, Duncairn Ave, Belfast BT14 6BP

The seminar will examine how the NI Executive's ‘cross departmental commitment to peace’, as set out in the Programme for Government 2024–2027, is being translated into action across departments and agencies.

The discussion will focus on:

  • How the cross departmental commitment to peace has been actioned across departments and agencies?
  • How peacebuilding is being embedded across government policy and delivery.
  • Progress in addressing division, segregation and inequality.
  • How the voices of underrepresented communities are being included in peacebuilding?
  • Whether current funding, structures and accountability mechanisms are sufficient to deliver meaningful change.
  • What further action is required to create a shared, inclusive and peaceful society?

Key people from the Office of First and Deputy First Minister and the Executive Office have been invited to speak
