The Antidote - Wanaka Global Premiere

Join us for the official world premiere of 'The Antidote' in Wanaka.

A short film by Finn Bilous and Hunter Paull, presented by Hunt Cinema.

The Antidote is a visual portrait of the past 15 years of Finn Bilous’s life, spent chasing an endless Winter. This film gives insight into this chapter of Finn’s life and explores the duality between his upbringing and connection to Wānaka, New Zealand, and the fast paced, world travelling lifestyle of a professional freestyle skier.

Raised in Wānaka, Finn is a product of his environment, growing up riding every corner of the local mountains and laying the foundation for a career unlike any other. As the sport of skiing has become more specialised into singular disciplines, Finn took a different path. It’s his versatility that separates him from the pack, enabling him to move seamlessly across multiple facets of the sport. He has competed at skiing’s highest level in Slopestyle and Freeride, including the X-Games, Winter Olympics, Natural Selection, and the Freeride World Tour.

In 2025, Finn took a step away from the competitive structure to focus on producing this film in partnership with Hunter Paull & Hunt Cinema. Shot on location across New Zealand, Japan, Canada & Alaska, this film gives a personal reflection to Finn’s unique pathway in skiing, his relationship to the sport and some of his best ski footage to date.
