SPOILED PROPAGANDA: Fermented Propaganda: Makers Session

As part of the public programme for SPOILED PROPAGANDA: grafting bio-futurism, PHYEIN Collective invites participants to turn the exhibition’s premise back on itself: if we are constantly being fed stories about what the future will look like, what propaganda might we produce for the futures we actually want to cultivate?

A workshop dedicated to creating propaganda for biodesign. The session draws on and reinterprets the Shell Heritage Art Collection in the context of climate change and bio-futurism. Following a brief introduction to propaganda, the Shell Heritage Art Collection, and political eco-art, participants will be invited to create propaganda for a future rooted in biodesign using the exhibition and Shell’s art collection as reference.

SPOILED PROPAGANDA is supported by Hypha Studios, Hypha Curates, British Land, Art of Wine and Holos Kombucha, with collaborations from La Tostadora, Feral Worlding and Old Tree Brewery.
