Why Hypnatal Birthing's Autumn Group Course?
Giving birth is one of the most memorable events that will happen in your life. I have two children, so I speak from experience! You will never forget your birth experience, so let's make it a great one, that you love talking about for years to come.
If you're feeling nervous, anxious or apprehensive about birth then this is the course for you! Hypnobirthing completely changed my whole outlook on birth when me and my hubby did our Group Hypnobirthing Course over 6 years ago to prepare for our first baby - and I can't wait to share all this with you too!
If you don't prepare for giving birth and just think "I'll go with the flow", you'll likely end up going with the hospital's flow, which isn't necessarily in your/your baby's best interests, and could result in unnecessary medical intervention. If we look at hospital maternity statistics we can see an increase in medicalised birth and caesarean section rates, some of which are medically necessary, but a lot that aren't.
How can you avoid the chance of unnecessary medical intervention? Learning all about your body, how incredible it is, how to stay calm & relaxed, how to make informed decisions and weigh up information. Lucky for you, I'm here to help you do just that!
"I wanted to say a huge thank you for everything during my pregnancy, I really could not have been so informed, in control and comfortable in the hospital environment without you" T&G, Basingstoke
How will I feel after?
Not only will you come away feeling informed, confident and excited about birth, but you will have had a truly lovely experience preparing for the birth of your baby/babies. Take some time out for you and your birth partner, connect with other parents, ask me any questions that will help you feel confident and prepared, and enjoy some delicious refreshments too! What a lovely experience for you and your birth partner during pregnancy!
Who runs the course?
The whole course is delivered by Fiona Wilson, founder of Hypnatal Birthing and mum of two living in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.
I have first-hand knowledge of the local maternity services, after having my son at Frimley Park Hospital back in 2020 and my daughter at home in 2022, supported by the local home birth team (Lavender team at Frimley). After having my two babies I couldn't keep everything I learned to myself, which is why I now teach expectant parents all about birth, and how much there is within your control. I absolutely love empowering birth teams like you so you feel in control, empowered and informed about all aspects of your birth experience.
"My husband and I had 1:1 classes with Fiona for the birth of our first baby. We would highly recommend her, she took all the fear away and gave all the knowledge about child birth that we needed. We found it really helpful and made the birth of our boy calm and beautiful" A&J, Basingstoke
