· Possess over 15 years of professional practical experience in arts therapy/education and related fields, with industry-recognized distinguished achievements.
· Hold the highest level of professional certification or a doctoral degree in a relevant field.
· Academic Contribution:
· Have a substantial record of academic publications and serve as an editorial board member or reviewer for significant journals.
· Their research has produced a notable and sustained academic impact on the field.
· Leadership & Influence:
· Have successfully led renowned institutions, major projects, or professional associations, demonstrating exceptional strategic planning and team management capabilities.
· Have made significant contributions to advancing industry policies, standard-setting, or public awareness.
· Commitment to the Association's Mission:
· Have a deep understanding and firm endorsement of IAETDAA's mission and values.
· Demonstrate a strong willingness to contribute time, expertise, and resources to the Association and the global community.

Step 1: Prepare Application Materials

Step 2: Submit Your Application

Step 3: Review & Selection
1. Preliminary Review: The Association Secretariat reviews the completeness of the materials.
2. Nomination Committee Assessment: The Board's Nomination Committee conducts a comprehensive assessment of qualified candidates and may arrange interviews.
3. Board Deliberation: The list of candidates who pass the assessment is submitted to the current Board for deliberation.
4. Final Approval: The list of candidates for Standing Director is submitted to the Annual General Meeting for a vote; Honorary Directors are appointed by a Board vote.
Step 4: Onboarding & Integration
Upon successful election, you will receive a formal letter of appointment and participate in a new Director onboarding to quickly integrate into the Board's work.
VI. Membership Fees & Financial Contribution
As core leaders of the Association, Director Members are expected to undertake corresponding financial responsibilities:
· Standing Directors: The annual basic membership fee is $750 USD. This fee is a vital contribution supporting the Association's core governance and strategic initiatives.
· Honorary Directors: Membership fees are voluntary, with a suggested annual donation of $250 USD.
· The Association is committed to complete transparency regarding the use of all Board membership fees, which will be specifically detailed in the annual financial report. We provide a waiver application channel for outstanding candidates with genuine financial hardship to ensure that exceptional leadership is not hindered by economic factors.
