The 26th of October is Dimitra Day in Greece.

Dimitra → Demeter → The Goddess of earth, life and fertility. Earth-Mother Earth-is where everything ends, dies, becomes compost-and comes back as life.

On 26 October, the Interpersonal Arts Institute comes alive in public with the first of its 21 Guns: twenty-one projects aimed at giving shape to-and learning to build-more appealing realities and, perhaps, a more interesting and meaningful world.

The first:

INTERPERSONAL FIGHT CLUB.

The idea? To experiment with a new approach to human relationships.

The theory: Interaction is what generates life. What brings us into being, shapes us, makes us enjoy, play, dance, rot, get stuck, go mad, make love, make war, die.

Nothing is more important for human beings than human interaction.
And nothing is potentially more violent.

We all experience interpersonal violence. Daily. We suffer it. We inflict it.

There are no rules in this game. We invent them as we wish. We hurt people. People hurt us. We get trapped, stagnant, frustrated. And there are no referees—nobody to do justice.

What are we to do in a wild world where calling out violence makes no difference?

The practice: On 26–10–26, the answer will be:

FIGHT.

Learn to fight.
Learn pain. Learn to get hurt.
Learn to get back on your feet.
Learn to speak up.
Learn to be.
Learn your own impact.
Learn your power.
Own it.

A live, structured social game: an arena for power, position, freedom, desire, connection, control, justice and consequence.

26–10–26 also marks the beginning of Halloween week.

Life and death.
Darkness and life.
Horror and humour.

We will honour it all by fighting, experimenting with highly toxic material and humour.

(According to dD, nothing ranks higher in human interaction than laughter.)

From 21:00 onwards, we will celebrate: dD, Halloween, the Goddess, the goods Mother Earth provides—food and drink—existence, you.

The quickest, readiest fighters will be the ones to make it.

English and Spanish will mix freely.
