IAM RoadSmart Young Driver's Skills Session allows young drivers the chance to develop their skills with qualified instructors and the iconic Thruxton circuit as a classroom. This event is being organised in partnership with Thruxton Circuit. You will have the chance to drive a selection of vehicles such as Porsche Cayman, Land Rover Defender and Mazda MX5. 

The sessions are open to both IAM RoadSmart members and the general public, allowing attendees a rare chance to learn precision driving techniques on a racing circuit, and to develop new skills that they can use when back on public roads.

The session will include a variety of activities on rotation in small groups:

• Track circuits
• Skid pan experience
• 4x4 off-road experience
• Auto-test

You can choose either a morning or afternoon session.

Please note that this event is designed for young people aged 30 and under with a FULL driving licence. It is NOT suitable for drivers with provisional licences.
