"Love the Lord Your God", 4-Week Course on Prayer

"Love the Lord Your God" is a four week course of going deeper in prayer.

This is an online version of the course.
Four Mondays, from 12th October to 9th November. Every week we will meet from 6.15pm to 7.30pm on Zoom.
(No meeting on 26th October).

Prayer nurtures our relationship with God and helps us gather "oil for the lamps", so that we are prepared when the bridegroom comes. Those who had oil for the lamps “went in with Him to the wedding banquet” (Mt 25: 10).

We will explore praying with the heart, mind, emotions and in silence. We will use Scripture in our first three sessions, and then in the fourth session we will allow God to speak to us in silence, through a "gentle whisper" (1 Kings 19:12).

12th October - Ignatian Contemplation

19th October - Lectio Divina

26th October - no meeting (Bank holiday in Ireland)

2nd November - Praying with the Psalms

9th November - Value of silence
