Inchicore 175 - Saturday 7th May, 2022
To mark the 175th Anniversary of the Inchicore Railway Works, Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail will open the country’s largest railway engineering facility to the public for a celebratory open day on Saturday 7th May, 2022.
This will be a family event centred around a self-guided walking tour of the 70-acre Railway Works. The tour highlights the great history of the site, looking at the people who work there currently and who have worked there in the past, and the role the site plays in support of our national rail system. As well as the focus on people there will also be a wide number of exhibits of trains, buses, and other transport items from past and present.
