Cimientos '26: They have become the forest
They have become the forest
by Aly Kantor
“In the woods, things of value must protect themselves.”
About
Welcome to Sy and Daphne’s campfire. Beneath the ancient trees of the sacred forest of Arcadia, a story begins. It is a love story, and it is also a horror story. Told as a contemporary campfire tale, they have become the forest reimagines myth through a queer lens, exploring courage, autonomy, and survival. As the line between storyteller and listener begins to blur, the audience is invited to consider what it means to live, to love, and to endure among gods.
