Palestine in children's books
This IBBY UK event has been set up to support IBBY colleagues and children in Palestine and to try to satisfy a demand for information about children's books that look at Palestinian life, history and culture.
Our speakers will be sharing information books, picture books and fiction in both English and Arabic.
We will also focus on the work of the Tamer Institute for Community Education, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation set up in 1989 which works with children and young people across the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The ticket cost will include tea and pastries. The Cafe Palestina will be open after the event for anyone who wants to eat there.
Tickets to join the event online are also available.
This is the first of a series of fundraising events that IBBY UK will be holding to support IBBY Palestine, so we ask that in addition to the ticket price you make a donation of at least £5 which will be sent to the IBBY Palestine fund.
