The Artists

Swarnendu Mandal brings the sarod to life with a rare combination of technical precision and lyrical sensitivity. A direct disciple of the late Padmabhushan Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta, he carries forward the tradition of the Senia Shahjahanpur Gharana — a lineage prized for its purity of tone and deeply melodic approach to raga. Swarnendu has performed at the G20 Summit in Varanasi, toured Europe, and been recognized with the CCRT National Scholarship from the Government of India.
