Handpan Vibrational Journeys
Internationally renowned handpan musician Mar Loi joins us from Spain for an intimate afternoon of sound. Born in the Canary Islands and now based in Girona, she left an earlier career as a childhood facilitator in 2017 to devote herself fully to the instrument, and has since become one of the handpan world's most distinctive voices — a player whose music moves between sensitivity, precision, and rhythm.
The afternoon opens gently with Sarah Paz Hyde and Yogesh Rajkotia, before Mar takes the floor. Heard a few feet away, unamplified, the handpan reveals a depth that recordings rarely capture: warm overtones, long silences, and a resonance you feel as much as hear. This is an afternoon to arrive as you are, settle in, and simply listen.
Seating is limited. The gathering closes with a short Q&A and a chance to try the instrument first-hand. Come early, come curious, and let the sound find you.
