CLARICE: Una función única - CLARICE: A One-Night-Only Performance

ID Studio Theater recibe a la actriz, directora y performer argentina Susana Yasan para una presentación especial y única de CLARICE, una obra teatral inspirada en la vida y la escritura de la célebre autora brasileña Clarice Lispector.

En septiembre de 1966, Clarice Lispector sobrevivió a un devastador incendio en su dormitorio que le causó graves lesiones en el brazo y la mano derecha. Después de pasar tres meses hospitalizada, regresa a su hogar. La obra transcurre durante su primera noche de vuelta en su habitación, suspendida entre la memoria, el sueño y la realidad.

Clarice se encuentra con Haia, la niña que fue antes de convertirse en Clarice, y juntas recorren los fantasmas de su infancia, su vida como madre y las experiencias que nunca ha logrado llevar al papel. Ante la aterradora posibilidad de no poder volver a escribir, Clarice deberá encontrar el camino de regreso a la creatividad, el deseo y la vida.

Presentada anteriormente en Argentina, Alemania y Panamá, CLARICE es interpretada por Susana Yasan, directora de teatro y ópera, actriz, dramaturga, docente, performer y terapeuta bioenergética argentina. Egresada del Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, Yasan lleva más de 33 años presentando obras teatrales, performances e intervenciones comunitarias en toda América Latina.

ID Studio Theater welcomes Argentine actor, director, and performer Susana Yasan for a special one-night-only presentation of CLARICE, a theatrical work inspired by the life and writing of celebrated Brazilian author Clarice Lispector.

In September 1966, Clarice Lispector survived a devastating fire in her bedroom that left her right arm and hand severely injured. After three months in the hospital, she returns home. The play unfolds during her first night back, suspended between memory, dream, and reality.

Clarice encounters Haia, the girl she was before becoming Clarice, and together they revisit the ghosts of her childhood, her life as a mother, and the experiences she has never been able to place on paper. Confronted with the terrifying possibility of no longer being able to write, Clarice must find her way back to creativity, desire, and life.

Previously presented in Argentina, Germany, and Panama, CLARICE is performed by Susana Yasan, an Argentine theater and opera director, actor, playwright, educator, performer, and bioenergetic therapist. A graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Yasan has spent more than 33 years presenting theatrical works, performances, and community interventions throughout Latin America.
