IHSCM PowerHour: Innovative Care Solutions - Contracting & Technology for Better Health
Thu 5 Sep 2024 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM BST
Online, Microsoft Teams
Description
Join us for an insightful PowerHour session on Innovative Care Solutions: Contracting & Technology for Better Health; we are bringing you presentations from 2 speakers for this event!
Mark Slaney, Retired Head of Procurement & Logistics for an Integrated Health & Adult Social Care Trust, will share his experience from a contracting perspective with providers for the event.
The contracting process can seem overwhelming, particularly considering the long-term nature of these contracts and their significant influence on business operations. With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Mark will demonstrate how to maximize the benefits from this process, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the delivery of high-quality and safe care to our citizens.
We will then be joined by Dr Brian Fisher, Retired GP and Director of Optimise BP to discuss the need for technology which automates the management and screening of issues, such as hypertension, in general practice with the overarching aim of reducing the number of appointments needed for patients and GP practices and improving care.
Brian is recently retired after 47 years as a GP in SE London and is passionate about people and communities taking more control over their lives. Apart from setting up and leading a radical GP practice, he also pioneered patient record access across the NHS.
There will be opportunity for Q&A with both speakers.
