A Creak In Time - Runtime 27 min. colour 16mm
A Creak In Time is a film directed by Steven McInerney (Psyché Tropes) with a soundtrack by
Howlround (Robin The Fog). The film explores the connection of the macrostructure with the
microcosm navigating its journey through time in two parts. The soundtrack has been composed
entirely from creaking objects and manipulated on magnetic tape machines.
Merkaba Macabre
Steven McInerney is an Australian born multidisciplinary artist based in London. He is the founder of Psyché Tropes, an experimental label and film project focusing on the synaesthetic intersections between sound and its visual counterpart. Working predominately with 16mm and sound he creates recherché non-narrative works using in-camera and camera-less filmmaking techniques while performing live audio visual shows as Merkaba Macabre.

Pascal Savy
Pascal Savy is a sound artist living and working in London. Through the use of tones, textures,
broken melodies and noise he explores atmospheres rather than narratives as a way to reflect on
time, presence and the ephemerality of phenomenon.

Howlround
First coming to prominence with hugely-acclaimed 2012 LP The Ghosts Of Bush, Howlround have
now expanded to a sextet (four machines, two people) and create recordings and performances
entirely from manipulating natural acoustic sounds on vintage reel-to-reel tape machines, with
additional reverb or electronic effects strictly forbidden – a process that has seen their work
compared to William Basinski, Philip Jeck, Morton Feldman and even the sculptures of Rachel
Whiteread.

Khaled Kaddal
Khaled Kaddal is an interdisciplinary artist and experimental musician based in London. His works
focus on the aesthetics of sound with the interest in expanded listening and the socio-political
aspects of sound and music.
Scoping on the perceptions and the thresholds of listening, by questioning the radical margin
between consonance and dissonance, silence and noise. Interested in enlarging the understanding
of oriental aesthetic by taking it to a post-music territory, where the musical structures are decomposed
to the notions of sounds.

Lucio Capece, Nikos Veliotis, Greg Pope, Leif Elggren, Sarah Hughes, Stephen Cornford and Phil
Julian amongst others.
