The Art of Watercolour Florals: Day Retreat
Join us for a calm, immersive creative day in our brand new studio space, where we’re opening the doors in small, intimate groups.
When: Tuesday 4th August
Time: 10:00 – 14:00
In this special extended session, you’ll be gently guided through a range of watercolour techniques inspired by flowers, foliage, and the natural world.
Throughout the day, we’ll explore how to capture the softness and movement of botanicals using delicate washes, layered colour, and simple, effective techniques. Rather than focusing on perfection, this retreat is about slowing down, building confidence, and enjoying the process.
You’ll work in your own sketchbook, giving you space to experiment freely - from loose, expressive florals to more considered botanical studies - creating a collection of pieces that feel cohesive, yet completely your own.
We’ll guide you through:
– Creating soft, fluid washes and gentle blends
– Building depth and detail through layering
– Using water, pigment and brushwork to suggest shape and movement
– Exploring your own colour palette, from soft, muted tones to brighter seasonal blooms
There will be plenty of time to pause, step back, and let your work evolve naturally — making this feel like a true creative reset.
Do I need experience?
Not at all. Everything is gently guided and completely beginner-friendly. Whether you’re brand new or looking to loosen up your style, you’ll feel supported every step of the way.
What’s included?
We provide everything you need:
– Sketchbook
– Acrylic, pastel and/or watercolour options
