The Art of Watercolour: Italian Streets
Join us for a cosy evening of creativity as we capture the charm and warmth of an Italian street scene in beautiful watercolour.
๐
Tuesday 13th October
๐ 6:00pm โ 9:00pm
๐ Imaginators Creative Studio, Kelsall
As the evenings draw in, there's something so comforting about slowing down with a paintbrush in hand. In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, we'll be painting a charming row of Italian houses, inspired by sun-drenched holidays, colourful facades and the timeless beauty of European streets.
You'll be gently guided through a range of watercolour techniques as we explore soft washes, layered colour and expressive brushwork to bring our scene to life. Think warm terracotta tones, weathered shutters, trailing greenery and those beautifully imperfect details that make Italian architecture so full of character.
Rather than focusing on perfection, this workshop is all about enjoying the process, building confidence and embracing the beautiful unpredictability of watercolour.
During the evening, we'll explore:
๐ Creating soft, flowing washes and beautiful colour blends
๐ Layering colour to add depth and atmosphere
๐ Using simple techniques to suggest texture and architectural detail
๐ Painting expressive windows, shutters and doorways full of character
๐ Bringing warmth and charm to an Italian-inspired streetscape
Do I need experience?
Not at all. This workshop is completely beginner-friendly, and we'll support you every step of the way. Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush before or you're looking to develop a looser style, you'll be very welcome.
