Join us for a peaceful day of creativity as we explore the beauty and drama of skies through watercolour.

There's something truly magical about painting the sky. From soft morning light and drifting clouds to dramatic sunsets and moody horizons, skies have a way of capturing both atmosphere and emotion.

In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, we'll be exploring how to create expressive skies full of movement, colour and feeling. You'll be gently guided through a range of watercolour techniques as we discover how to blend colours seamlessly, capture changing light and build confidence with this beautifully fluid medium.

Think glowing sunsets, misty mornings, soft cloud formations and those breathtaking moments when the sky steals the show.

Rather than focusing on perfection, this workshop is all about enjoying the process, building confidence and embracing the beautiful unpredictability of watercolour.

During the session, we'll explore:

☁️ Creating smooth, luminous washes for expansive skies
☁️ Mixing colours to capture different times of day and changing weather
☁️ Painting soft, expressive cloud formations
☁️ Using layering techniques to create depth and atmosphere
☁️ Exploring light, mood and movement within a landscape

Do I need experience?

Not at all. This workshop is completely beginner-friendly, and we'll support you every step of the way. Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush before or you're looking to develop a looser style, you'll be very welcome.

• Watercolour paper
• Professional-quality paints
• Brushes and materials
• Step-by-step guidance
• Apron
• Tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day

You'll leave with your own finished atmospheric painting, along with new techniques and the confidence to continue exploring watercolour at home.

Important Information

🎨 Clothing: Aprons are provided, but please bring gloves and your own secateurs if you feel they would be useful.

📸 Photography: We may take photos during the event for marketing. If you'd prefer not to be included, just let us know when you arrive.

🎟️ Tickets: Tickets are non-refundable. With at least 48 hours' notice, we're happy to transfer your booking to another event once (subject to availability). You're also welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else—just let us know their name in advance.

👨‍👩‍👧 Age: Children are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult with their own ticket, unless the event is marked as adults only.
