Shadow Lands

A 25 minute multi-disciplinary children’s theatre piece delving into the creative connections between Indonesia and Ireland.

An exploration of sacred landscapes, storytelling, and the preservation of myths through music and shadow puppetry. From the ancient traditions of Javanese culture, through shadow puppetry and gamelan music, to Ireland's own rich tradition of storytelling through song and folklore, In both cultures mythology is embodied through performance, sound, and light, creating a dynamic connection between the seen and unseen worlds. Bringing a tale of mythology and the spirit world to life through a combination of shadow, animation, live and pre-recorded soundscapes.
