Setter Fest 2026

Thu 25 Jun 2026 9:00 AM - Fri 26 Jun 2026 7:00 PM Mile End Climbing Wall, E3 5BE

Join us for a 2 day international gathering dedicated entirely to the craft of route setting.

Hosted in London by Impact Route Setting and Unit Holds, this event brings together setters, hold brands and industry professionals for 2 days focused on creativity, collaboration and progression in route setting. Through workshops, live demos, talks, and a setting competition, Setter Fest aims to celebrate the people behind the climbs and the craft that shapes indoor climbing.

Who Is It For

  • Professional freelance or employed route setters
  • Head setters or facility management
  • Apprentices or aspiring route setters
  • Anyone passionate about route setting, indoor and competition climbing

WHAT TO EXPECT

Setter games:  Team of 2 go head to head to create their showpiece bloc using a huge selection of sponsor holds. Judged by our expert judging panel and festival ticket holders, with a £1000 cash prize for the winning bloc.

Hands-on Workshops: Small group 3 hour workshops with our headline setters Pierre Broyer and Ryan Henderson.

After an eye-opening few days with Pierre last November, we can't wait to welcome him back to delve further. As an Olympic setter, IFSC regular and co-creator of the infamous Flathold no-tex range, Pierre is always pushing boundaries and searching for new movement. His workshop explores Movement as a System.

Having travelled the world to perfect his craft and lead teams from Paris to Sydney, Ryan joins us to share some real insight on the topic of Intention vs Intensity. Ryan's workshop explores the relationship between creative intention and physical intensity in route setting.

Live Demos and Industry Talks: 1 hour long insights from leading figures in the industry, on topics ranging from Longevity in route setting: Rehab, Training and resilience, to Hold Destruction: Testing the limits of modern climbing holds. Plus a Q & A panel and talks from our headline setters.

Free Food: Complimentary evening meal will be provided on Thursday evening, prior to the Q & A.

After Party: Food, drinks music from 5pm on Thursday evening. Expect a proper social to round off the day, a chance to unwind and connect with other setters.
