Imperial College London Composite Research Showcase 2025
To inform industry, stakeholders, and policymakers about the latest advances in composites research at Imperial College London, we are holding a showcase. The event is free and open to industry, stakeholders and funders with an interest in composites.
Join us for the 2025 Composite Research Showcase hosted by the Composites Centre at Imperial College London on Friday 13 June. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge research, state-of-the-art facilities, and the expertise that has positioned the Centre as a global leader in composite materials. The event will combine a poster display of current research, presentations from leading academics and industrial experts, and panel sessions to discuss the challenges, opportunities and potential adoption routes. We anticipate this event will offer interested organisations the opportunity to interact directly with researchers working in this field.
Over the last 40 years the Composites Centre has provided a focus for all the composites expertise across Imperial College, and is internationally recognised as one of the pioneering academic Groups in this field. There are over 40 academics across the College affiliated to the Centre, and their research covers an enormous breadth of topics, ranging from the development of new composite constituents and architectures, manufacturing routes and characterisation techniques to predictive modelling and design for final applications. Further details of our research, academics and facilities can be seen at the Composite Centre website.
This is the first time we have held such an event in the last seven years, and is an opportunity to see the work we do, our facilities and directly engage with the composite academics. Details of the schedule for the day are shown below, and an accompanying brochure describing our work, our expertise and facilities will be provided. On the day there will also be opportunities to schedule short meetings with the academics in the Centre to promote further collaboration.
The event is free and open to industry and stakeholders with an interest in composites.
