Description
How can we build the future of theatre together?
Wednesday 20 May 2020
10:30am - 1:15pm
Online via Qiqochat and Zoom
There is no more normal. No business as usual.
There is change - some necessary, some heartbreaking, some beautiful.
There are people being bold and brilliant in extraordinary circumstances.
There is grief, and there is the gift of a pause.
What can we do with this pause?
What can we take with us from this moment that will help steer a course for the future of theatre?
How do we make sure people are not left out or left behind?
Improbable and Theatre Bristol invite you to join this Online Open Space, a work-in-progress event that will pilot Improbable's transformation of legendary D&D Open Space events to the digital world.
It is for anyone working in live performance in the South West who is ready to think about the future of theatre and the role they want to play in it.
There is no prescribed agenda - you decide what is important and what gets worked on.
As it's a pilot, the event is free to take part in. All you need to do is register your place on our online box office, Ticket Tailor, and we'll send you details about how to participate closer to the time.
About Improbable
Improbable is a world-renowned theatre company that specialises in improvisation. Alongside making theatre shows, Improbable is also one of the UK's leading facilitators of Open Space Technology events.
Open Space Technology is a meeting process which helps people to self-organise and do meaningful work. The agenda for each Open Space event starts completely blank and is then created by the participants on the day with help from an experienced facilitator. It can work for as few as 5 people, and as many as 500.
In response to the pandemic and the rise of remote working, Improbable have developed Open Space Online, which transforms the real-world Open Space methodology into an online format with the help of video conferencing and other virtual tools.
