YIMBYtown Small Scale Development Workshop

We'd like to personally invite you to join us for the Incremental Development Alliance's Small Scale Development Workshop, coming to Raleigh, NC on Friday, November 20, 2026 at 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. This event is open to anyone, but especially aimed at attendees of the 2026 YIMBYtown conference. (A special discount is available to YIMBYtown attendees.)

This workshop is for anyone who want to develop small-scale, financially viable real estate projects that strengthen their communities—or support those looking to do that work. Whether you're a first-time builder, a neighborhood leader, or a city staffer looking to help local development thrive in your city, our training will give you the tools to take action. This training is all about project formation. Expect to be taken through the steps from a neighborhood-based developer’s perspective and learn what it takes to:

• analyze what makes a good project
• understand how a building makes money
• interact with the broader ecosystem of professionals in the built environment. 

By the end of the Workshop, aspiring developers will feel more prepared to take the first steps on their own project and other neighborhood stakeholders will gain a deeper understanding of how they can support them.The registration fee covers a full day of training with national experts, peer learning, practical development tools, and a clearer understanding of one of the most important issues facing our nation. 

Breakfast and lunch will be provided to attendees.
