INDIE WEEK 2026 is now accepting artist applications.
We are looking for fresh voices, bold sounds, strong live performances, and artists who are ready for new opportunities. Whether you are an emerging artist or an established act building your next market, INDIE WEEK gives you a platform to showcase in front of music fans, industry professionals, bookers, and delegates.
GENRE ELIGIBILITY
INDIE WEEK accepts most contemporary original music genres.
At this time, we are not looking for classical, traditional jazz, children’s music, or musical theatre submissions.
Please note: INDIE WEEK prioritizes original music. Cover bands, tribute acts, and primarily non-original projects are not the right fit for this application.

| INDIE WEEK is a 3-day music festival and professional music industry conference taking place NOV 12–14 in Ottawa, Canada. Selected artists do more than perform. All selected artists gain access to the INDIE WEEK conference, where they can connect with industry professionals, attend panels, take part in networking opportunities, and learn from people actively working in the music business. The conference is focused on helping artists build sustainable careers, develop export opportunities, and understand what it takes to move beyond the stage into real industry growth. Conference activities include: Panels and conversations with music industry professionals Networking with bookers, managers, festival reps, and industry organizations INDIE WEEK is designed for artists who want to perform, learn, connect, and take their careers to the next level. SELECTED ARTISTS RECEIVE Performance: Minimum of 1 showcase performance at INDIE WEEK 2026 ALL APPLICANTS RECEIVE DIT Online Community Access: Access to the DIT online music community TERMS & CONDITIONS Application Fee: A nominal $20 CAD application fee applies. Taxes and processing fees may be added at checkout. Application Deadline: The deadline to apply is FRI JULY 31. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, so we strongly suggest not waiting until the last minute to complete your application. All-Ages Shows: While we welcome artists of all ages to apply, please note that some shows may take place in age-restricted venues. Space for underage artists may be limited. Industry Exposure: INDIE WEEK brings in venue bookers, festival bookers, managers, industry organizations, and music professionals from Ontario, across Canada, and international markets to discover artists and build new connections. Compensation: Selected artists will receive a nominal performance fee. Travel costs are not covered. Performance Access: Selected artists will receive a minimum of one performance slot. Each selected artist / band member will receive an INDIE WEEK wristband, allowing access to showcases and the music industry conference, subject to venue capacity. Selection Notice: Submitting an application does not guarantee a showcase slot. Artists are selected based on fit, readiness, quality, availability, and programming needs.
