FERTILTY OF STONE SCENT DINNER 
a collaboration with Alexis Hyman Wolff/LISBETH, Miriam Jakob, Felix Claßen and Dr. Hannah S. Davies

This three-hour immersive dining experience combines taste, scent, sound, performance and storytelling.

Ticket includes a vegetarian 4-course meal and accompaniment of non alcoholic beverages.

Together with collaborators and fellow researchers, the artist Ines Lechleitner opens up new perspectives on what “fertility of stone” and „metamorphism of rocks“ can mean. The exhibition Fertility of Stone at LISBETH about the botanical garden ll Giardino dell’Impossibile, built in the former whinstone quarries of Favignana, Sicily, serves as a starting point from which the artist and her guests invite us on a journey where the mineral and the vegetal meet.

The scent “Fertility of Stone - Sediment Sentiment” that Ines Lechleitner created for the exhibition at LISBETH brings together a broad range of natural essences derived from plants and minerals that serve as the head, heart and base notes of the scent’s composition. These essences will accompany us through the evening.

Furthermore, a new dialogue around the materiality of ‘soft stone’ is woven between the artist, the creators of the performance piece Geteilte Echos - Miriam Jakob und Felix Claßen and the geologist Dr.Hannah S. Davies with whom Ines Lechleitner has collaborated previously.

Dieses dreistündige immersive Dinner-Erlebnis verbindet Geschmack, Geruch, Klang, Performance und Geschichtenerzählen.

Ticket beinhaltet ein 4-gängiges, vegetarisches Menu und alkoholfreie Getränkebegleitung.

Die Künstlerin Ines Lechleitner eröffnet gemeinsam mit Kollegen und Experten neue Perspektiven darauf, was „Fertility of Stone” und „Metamorphosen von Gestein“ bedeuten können. Die Ausstellung Fertility of Stone im LISBETH über den Giardino dell’Impossibile, erbaut in den ehemaligen Tuffsteinbrüchen von Favignana auf Sizilien, dient als Ausgangspunkt, von dem aus die Künstlerin und ihre Gäste uns auf eine Reise einladen, auf der Mineralisches und Pflanzliches aufeinandertreffen.

Der Duft “Fertility of Stone - Sediment Sentiment”, den Ines Lechleitner für die Ausstellung im LISBETH kreiert hat, vereint eine breite Palette natürlicher Essenzen aus Pflanzen und Mineralien, die als Kopf-, Herz- und Basisnoten der Duftkomposition dienen. Diese Essenzen werden uns durch den Abend begleiten.

Darüber hinaus entsteht ein neuer Dialog über die Materialität von „weichem Stein” zwischen der Künstlerin, den Autoren des Performance-Stücks „Geteilte Echos” – Miriam Jakob und Felix Claßen – und der Geologin Dr. Hannah S.Davies, mit der Ines Lechleitner bereits zuvor zusammengearbeitet hat.
