Informing Choices Present - Lady Bird (2017)

As part of World Contraception Day, Informing Choices invites you to a special screening of Lady Bird, followed by a conversation exploring growing up, relationships, sex, information and the choices young people make.

Lady Bird follows a teenager navigating her final year of school, relationships, sex, friendship and her complicated relationship with her mother. The film explores growing up, finding your independence and trying to work out who you are and what you want.

Following the screening, we’ll be joined by Megan Turner from Common Youth for a facilitated discussion exploring some of the themes raised in the film, including how we learn about sex and relationships, who we turn to for information, and the role that accessible and reliable information can play in making informed choices about contraception.
