Aspiring and early-stage female and women entrepreneurs (inclusive) - join us for this taster to find out more about the opportunities, support and funding available through the Ingenuity Programme to create and grow an impactful new start-up! This event is supported by the Charter for Inclusive Entrepreneurship and the My Way Project CIC.

Ingenuity is open to all, no matter your background or experience. Refreshments provided. The taster event will cover the following:

  • An overview of the Ingenuity Programme
  • Benefits of getting involved, including funding available
  • Case study of an Ingenuity Alumni and their idea
  • Develop your idea Ingenuity taster activity
  • Opportunity for Q&A and open discussion

About the Ingenuity Programme

The Ingenuity Programme is a national innovation programme that directly addresses the UK’s major social, health and environmental challenges through the creation of impactful new start-ups. The most impactful ideas are awarded top prizes and receive a share of £75,000 in prize funding.

Ingenuity focuses on 3 key challenge themes:

  • Building stronger communities
  • Improving health
  • Tackling climate change

The programme is inclusive, diverse and accessible for all and supports students, alumni and community members across the UK to turn ideas for change into exciting new ventures.

Ingenuity provides participants with:

  • Start-up skills training
  • Mentoring and networking
  • Experiential learning and entrepreneurial development opportunities
  • Routes to funding for early-stage impact driven businesses
  • Opportunity to pitch for a share £75,000 in prize funding

Hear the stories of some of our Ingenuity 2023 winners! Be inspired by insights into Ingenuity entrepreneurs, their impact driven businesses and their experiences of engaging in the programme.

From a physiotherapy app for children with disabilities, to allergen-free snacks, and flashcards to help refugees overcome language barriers, these are just some of the business ideas that competed and won in our Ingenuity 2023 National Competition back in June.
