Queens Park Arena Live Returns!

This series of larger music events will be returning to the amphitheatre this year and we are delighted to announce an amazing series of matinee and evening shows!Sunday 5th June matinee show will see Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5 taking to the stage in the park alongside ESPERANZA. CMD5 are Scotland's premiere good time party band, playing an eclectic mix of alternative/comedy/dance/rock, and will be playing this special family friendly matinee show in their home turf of Glasgow.In the evening It’s time to ‘Dance Again’ and relive countless Runrig Anthems as we welcome to the stage Beat The Drum with their new “Runrig Experience”. Jesse Rae co headlines this bill - Jesse truly is Scotland's number one funk export to the world. Performing a full 2 hour live set with his Interactive Video show, this truly is one that cannot be missed.

The “funk warrior” of Scotland comes to Queen’s Park Arena! Jesse Rae is a maverick cult hero and pioneer in electro-funk, acid house and the use of CGI in music videos. After traveling stateside in the late 70s in search of Funk, Jesse literally bumped into it in an elevator in the form of Parliament-Funkadelic and Talking Heads synth master Bernie Worrell, who quickly became a close friend and collaborator along with Roger Troutman of Zapp. Among his many other achievements is an award for his filmography prowess judged by the one and only Francis Ford Coppola! Jesse’s show will feature a unique visual display which he crafted himself.

It’s time to ‘Dance Again’ and relive countless Runrig Anthems including Loch Lomond, Rocket To The Moon, Every River, Greatest Flame, Hearts of Olden Glory and more as part of the brand new ‘Runrig Experience’. Following a multitude of sold out shows across Scotland, QPA Live will be the first Exclusive Glasgow Show for this professional ensemble.
