This workshop will show you how to make blocks for pattern-making and more free imagery by cutting into the surfaces with lino cutting tools. These images will be produced both by handprinting and producing prints with equipment in Bradford College Printmaking Room. We will look at the variety of effects produced by comparing the two, and comparing the use of papers and fabrics. There will be a collection of blocks to try out varying in size and material such as lino, Japanese vinyl, polyurethane and erasers.
