The Vanbrugh & Friends play their annual autumn concert at the Inkwell Theatre on Saturday 5^th October at 8pm. Chris Marwood and his Vanbrugh colleagues Keith Pascoe and Simon Aspell, together with guests Marja Gaynor, Ed Creedon and Maria O’Connor, present Rimsky-Korsakov’s charming and lyrical string sextet – for two violins, two violas and two cellos - together with Schubert’s famous and much-loved string quintet. Schubert was just 31 years old and terminally ill when he wrote this extraordinary work in 1828, it is considered by many to be among the greatest chamber music ever written.
