A short documentary, produced, directed and edited by Lorraine Hogan, celebrating the local community saving an old school from demolition and transforming the 1836 building into a state-of-the-art community and arts centre.

Lorraine Hogan is a visual artist, singer-songwriter and filmmaker based in Cork. In 2015 Lorraine graduated from Crawford College of Art and Design with a First Class Honours Degree and was awarded the Cork Film Award from her degree show. Lorraine's work combines film, photography, printmaking, painting, video and sound installations.
The Cork artist marks her producing and directing debut with Sean Scoil (Old School) a short documentary that celebrates the local community saving an old school from demolition. How the community transforms the 1836 building into state-of-the-art community and arts centre, helping the cultural life of a rural parish in Minane Bridge, County Cork. Featuring a musical performance with Liam O'maonlai and interviews with local community members Paddy O’Brien, Helen O’Dowd and Eileen McGough.
Sean Scoil premiered in Dungarvan Cinema on the 10th of May and will now premier locally as part of the Tracton Artist’s Annual Exhibition and Festival Opening at 7pm on June 29th.
