We are very happy to announce that we will hold a one week residential retreat in the south of Portugal in March 2023.

The venue will be the beautiful Karuna Retreat Center close to Monchique in Algarve. The center offers simple shared rooms (2-3 beds) with shared bathrooms for 28 people total. If you would like to have your own room or want some more comfort there are many options close by. Find some suggestions below.

The center has a wonderful big hall for us with an amazing view over the hills of Monchique. And they will prepare three vegetarian meals for us each day. 

Every day we will have light meditations and workshops with Bärbel and gentle body work with Sabina. The exact schedule will be announced when the retreat starts.

The retreat will be bilingual in English and German.

Pricing

The tuition fee of the retreat is 600 euros. Staying in a shared room at the center will cost around 250 euros for the week including food and will have to be paid in cash on-site. Staying off-site is possible in which case the center will charge 180 euros for using their facilities and the 3 meals a day. 

UPDATE: We can offer a few more tickets. However, these are without the possibility to eat in the retreat center. That means you have to take care of your own accommodation and food. In this case, the fee for the retreat center is 35 euros. We will make the lunch break long enough for it to be possible to have lunch in a restaurant.

Getting There

The closest international airport is Faro (FAO) about 1:15 hours away. It is recommended that you rent a car or find someone to share a car with if you come by airplane. We will create a Whatsapp group so that sharing cars/rides can be organised within the group.

Suggestions for accommodation close by:

• Quinta Da Idalina and Quinta O Ninho are close options with about 10 min drive.
• Within 10 to 20 min drive there are many other options around Karuna, e.g. have a look on Google Maps or AirBnb

Wir freuen uns sehr, euch mitteilen zu können, dass wir im März 2023 im Süden Portugals ein einwöchiges Retreat abhalten werden.

Der Veranstaltungsort wird das wunderschöne Karuna Retreat Center in der Nähe von Monchique an der Algarve. Das Zentrum bietet einfache Mehrbettzimmer (2-3 Betten) mit Gemeinschaftsbad für insgesamt 28 Personen. Wenn Du ein eigenes Zimmer oder etwas mehr Komfort haben möchtest, gibt es viele weitere Möglichkeiten in der Nähe. Weiter unten findest Du einige Vorschläge.

Das Karuna Retreat Center hat einen wunderschönen großen Saal für uns mit einem fantastischen Blick über die Hügel von Monchique. Und wir werden dort täglich mit drei vegetarische Mahlzeiten verwöhnt. 

Jeden Tag wird es Lichtmeditationen und Workshops mit Bärbel und die sanfte Körperarbeit mit Sabina geben. Der genaue Zeitplan wird zu Beginn des Retreats bekannt gegeben.

Das Retreat wird zweisprachig in Englisch und Deutsch gehalten.

Preise

Die Seminargebühr für das Retreat beträgt 600 Euro. Die Unterbringung in einem Mehrbettzimmer im Zentrum kostet ca. 250 Euro für die Woche inklusive Verpflegung und ist vor Ort in bar zu bezahlen. Ein Aufenthalt außerhalb des Geländes ist möglich. In diesem Fall berechnet das Zentrum 180 Euro für die Bereitstellung der Räumlichkeiten und die 3 Mahlzeiten pro Tag.

UPDATE: Wir können ein paar weitere Tickets anbieten. Diese sind allerdings ohne die Möglichkeit im Retreat Center zu essen. D.h. Du musst Dich selbst um Unterkunft und Verpflegung kümmern. Der Beitrag für das Retreat Center beträgt in diesem Fall 35 Euro. Wir werden die Mittagspause lang genug machen, damit es möglich ist in einem Restaurant zu Mittag zu essen.

Anreise

Der nächstgelegene internationale Flughafen ist Faro (FAO), etwa 1:15 Stunden entfernt. Wir empfehlen ein Auto zu mieten oder jemanden zu finden, mit dem Du ein Auto teilen kannst, falls Du mit dem Flugzeug anreist. Wir werden eine WhatsApp-Gruppe erstellen, damit das Teilen von Autos/Fahrten innerhalb der Gruppe organisiert werden kann.

Vorschläge für Unterkünfte in der Nähe:

• Quinta Da Idalina und Quinta O Ninho sind nahe Optionen mit etwa 10 Minuten Anfahrt.
• Innerhalb von 10 bis 20 Minuten Fahrt gibt es viele andere Möglichkeiten rund um Karuna,  z.B.: Google Maps oder AirBnb
