Join us on Thursday, October 10th, at 2 PM as we celebrate Space Week 2024!
World Space Week 2024 is set to educate, inspire and connect the global community, focusing on the powerful alliance between space technology and climate science.
For our event, we will have two guest speakers, Hannah Spangle, a NASA intern who will focus on the connection between space and climate change, she will also be inspiring students with an insight into what it is like working for NASA! Also joining us will be Connie Gibson, an Aerospace Engineer for Expleo, who will be talking about how tech has a crucial role in monitoring climate change.
The theme for 2024 is Space & Climate Change, aiming to unite experts and students, to discuss how we can utilise space technology for ecological sustainability and resilience against climate change. This virtual event is completely free and will last for 50 minutes.
Information For You:
- The event is for all genders, students aged between 10-17
- This interactive event will help reach Gatsby Benchmarks 2, 5 & 6.
- You can stream the event into your classroom via Zoom, the link will be sent to you via email once you have booked.
- When you register your interest in this event, you will be asked to enter the number of student(s) you hope to bring along to this event. We ask for this number so that we can manage the event well and know how many people we expect to be hosting. If you decide not to show up or have a lower volume attending please do let us know by emailing study@innovateher.co.uk
