Embracing Intersectionality: Designing Effective ERGs
Wed 25 Jun 2025 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM BST
Online, Zoom
Description
In this interactive session, we will delve deeper into the term ‘intersectionality’ - exploring its meaning, origins, and real-world applications within organisations.
You'll learn practical strategies for embedding intersectionality into your ERGs, addressing the diverse experiences of your people, whilst also gaining some insights into how to effectively get started in this area. By understanding the interconnected nature of various identities and approaching ED&I work with an intersectional lens, you can become more effective in fostering a culture of belonging and empowerment for all.
As a Culture and Engagement Consultant, our guest speaker Alya partners with organisations to develop and implement tailored strategies focusing on employee culture and equity, diversity and inclusion. Her expertise lies in helping organisations establish a strong foundation in these spaces by designing workshops, collaborating with leadership, creating inclusive policies, analysing data and building effective employee resource groups. By placing culture and inclusion at the heart of organisational initiatives, Alya helps her clients start their culture and ED&I journeys effectively, to create a place where everyone feels valued and empowered.
