InsightsOnline are delighted to present a fantastic second panel event hosted by some of the top names in the management and treatment of people with sexual convictions. The event will continue to explore, compare and contrast practice in the USA and Canada with UK approaches and methods. Dr. Mark Farmer, HMPPS Strategic Lead on Sexual Offending will once again chair the discussion between Dr Robin Wilson, forensic psychologist based in Florida and. Andrew Bates, one of the NPS' pre -eminent forensic psychologists. The event will once again conclude with a Q&A session direct to the panel.

Attendees will leave the event with an overview similarities and differences between working with those convicted of sexual offences in the UK and the US/Canada and how each country might learn from the successes and challenges of the other.

Dr Robin Wilson is an experienced forensic psychologist with a long history of working with those convicted of sexual offences in Canada and the US. He was an international pioneer of Circles of Support and Accountability and has published and lectured widely across the globe on the subject of perpetrator treatment and management.

Dr Mark Farmer is HMPPS Strategic Lead for Sexual Offending. Mark has an extensive background and has been hugely influential in the thinking which surrounds the practice of treating and managing those who offend sexually. Dr farmer has in the past been an Insights contributor on the Strengths Based Approach to working with those who are convicted of such offences and also has interest in Circles of Support.

Andrew Bates is NPS Principal Forensic Psychologist in the South West & South Central regions. A regular and much appreciated insights contributor he has extensive experience in the field. His work has amongst many subjects, encompassed the assessment of individuals convicted of sexual offences and leading the regional OPD programme.
