Global Street Paper Summit 2026
Book your tickets now to secure an early bird discount for the 2026 Global Street Paper Summit in Glasgow.
Held in INSP’s home city of Glasgow, this is the first time in eight years that the Summit has been to Scotland’s biggest city. The event will run from Monday 31 August to Friday 4 September.
We are being hosted at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), which is known as the “University for the Common Good”, due to its role above and beyond deliverying educational and research opportunities. GCU also houses the Global Street Paper Archives, a collection of 8,000 street paper publications from across the world. It is therefore the perfect host venue to welcome you to Scotland in 2026!
The conference will kick off with arrivals on Monday 31 August, and will have three days’ worth of events, with departures on Friday 4 September. Cultural activities and the INSP Awards will be part of the programme.
Our programme for 2026, will focus on the following themes:
- Strategy: How can street papers remain hopeful and inspired in challenging times?
- Organisational development: What opportunities and risks does AI and other emerging technologies bring to the world of street papers?
- Journalism: How can journalists, and quality journalism, be protected in increasingly authoritarian countries?
- Supporting people in poverty: How can we best meet the needs of diverse communities? What role does cultural sensitivity play, and how does migration shape emerging challenges?
Ticket Types
A standard ticket includes 4-nights of accommodation arriving on Monday 31 August and leaving on Friday 4 September, including all meals. It does not include flights, any visa costs and travel insurance. Single day tickets are available for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, covering all meals.

Scholarships and Sponsorship
As per previous Summits, INSP is looking to secure sponsorships to enable street paper colleagues to attend if their own organisation cannot afford the ticket costs. An announcement will go out about this soon.
Language support
Most of the Summit will be held in English, but as with other events, we are looking into interpreting support. Please tell us on the next page if you require support.
INSP looks forward to you there!
