Member of the House of Lords, Oxbridge graduate, former Chief Executive of Stonewall and co-founder and -director of the company Deeds and Words… join us at the IF to hear from Baroness Ruth Hunt, in conversation with Jesus College students Clare Aspray, Alexis Fradley, and Rowan Lightfoot.
Baroness Hunt will discuss various areas of her life and career, from campaigning for LGBTQ+ rights and working to change preconceptions and privileges, to how being a practising Christian affects her life and work.
About the speaker
Elected one of the youngest Crossbench Peers in 2019, Baroness Hunt left Stonewall after 15 years of campaigning for inclusion and change. With her partner Caroline, Baroness Hunt founded and co-directs the company Deeds and Words, which assists organisations and communities to operate more effectively and build new cultures. She is a graduate of the University of Oxford (English Literature), where she was also President of the Oxford University Students Union. Baroness Hunt was elected a Visiting Fellow of Jesus College in 2023.
