Winter LGBTQ+ Mixer
Winter LGBTQ+ Mixer
Join us on Wednesday, February 20 from 6-9PM for a casual social mixer
at the InterAccess studio, a space dedicated to new media and emerging
practices in art and technology.
This seasonal gathering offers a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ community members to connect, mingle, discuss your latest projects, and spark potential collaborations! Light refreshments will be served.
Using a care-based methodology, host McKenna Gray will facilitate generative discussions around the presentation of works and works-in-progress by artists. Participants will have the opportunity to solicit and provide feedback in a group of intra-community peers, fostering artist development and connection.
Presentation slots are limited; sign-up to present here.
McKenna (they/he) is a tender-hearted curator and critic based in Tkaronto. Believing that teaching and learning happen concurrently, McKenna’s methodology prioritizes utilizing art as a catalyst for consciousness raising and solidarity, as well as fostering meaningful relationships. Seeking to nurture critical perspectives and introduce alternative epistemologies within and beyond the gallery space, they draw upon materialist analysis to address issues related to queer and trans communities, access, and labour.
