Intro to Arduino: Build a Jellyfish!

Sat Jan 25, 2025 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM InterAccess, 950 Dupont Street, Toronto, ON, M6H 1Z2

This beginner workshop will introduce participants to the wonderful world of Arduino and electronic art. Arduino is an open source microcontroller and programming environment designed for use by artists, designers, and hobbyists. Participants will play around with circuitry and Arduino code to create movement and light with their components.

No coding or electronics experience needed.

Upon completion of the workshop participants will have meshed their new circuit and code skills with found objects to create a living sculpture inspired by jellyfish.

WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS

  • Laptop
  • USB-A to USB-C dongle (if your laptop has USB-C ports only)
  • Arduino IDE

Materials including an Arduino Uno and components will be provided for use during the workshop; participants may purchase them at cost to take home after the workshop.
