Summer LGBTQ+ Mixer

Join us on Thursday, June 19 from 6-9PM for a casual social mixer at InterAccess, a space dedicated to new media and emerging practices in art and technology. This season's mixer is hosted by Alison Clark.

This seasonal gathering offers a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ community members to connect, mingle, discuss your latest projects, and spark potential collaborations! Light refreshments will be served.

About the Host

Alison Clark is a New Media Artist based in Toronto. She uses machines and algorithms to express the deeply human experiences of identity, belonging and memory. By embracing chaos and generative practices, she honors the complexity of these emotions and allows the medium to become a collaborator. Her practice reveals the subjectivity of human perception through analog video degradation, eco processed 16mm film and homemade audio devices. These experimental approaches explore how machines affect our sense of the world, acting as an extension of our mind and body. Beyond the gallery, Alison brings these ideas to life on the dance floor through improvised electronic performances, where the immediate response of the crowd shapes her evolving soundscapes.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
We are located on the second floor of the building, which is accessible by two flights of stairs or an elevator. The front entrance has an automatic push door and is accessible by ramp or a short flight of stairs. Inside, all InterAccess facilities are on the same level, including a single-user accessible washroom.

COVID-19 INFORMATION
For indoor events, InterAccess strongly encourages all attendees to wear masks/face-coverings to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission and to ensure the continued health and safety of staff, facilitators, and fellow attendees. We ask that staff and participants screen themselves for COVID-19 symptoms before visiting our space.
