3D Scanned Portraiture
3D Scanned Portraiture
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore 3D portraiture from initial scan to final render. Participants will create a 3D scanned portrait using InterAccess’s Revo Point POP 3 handheld scanner and the 3D software Blender. You’ll scan your face, import it into Blender using a pre-made template, and customize your portrait with lighting, backgrounds, and other edits. The final result will be a personalized, high-quality 3D render. Perfect for a profile picture with some pizzazz!
This workshop is best suited for those with some experience in 3D software and a basic understanding of Blender. If you are not versed in Blender, no worries! Blender is open source, and you can get started with online tutorials on YouTube. We recommend the donut tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0J27sf9N1Y
This workshop is presented as part of Vector Festival 2025, with in-kind support from TMU's Design and Technology Lab.
