The International Guitar Foundation (IGF) presents talented players from our Young Artist Programme (YAP), in this joint lunchtime concert at the annual guitar summer school and festival in Bath.

Arie Dakesian was born in Beirut, Lebanon to an Armenian family.  He picked up his first guitar at the age of six and hasn’t left it since. He’s now in his final year of undergraduate studies at the Royal College of Music as a Houston Family Award Holder, under the tutelage of Gary Ryan and Christopher Stell. Arie is a recipient of many grants and awards and has worked alongside some of the biggest names of the guitar world. 

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances the Juno Duo will not be performing in this concert.

The Juno Duo is a British-Ukrainian Voice and Guitar chamber ensemble formed by Isabella Hulbert and Maryna Vosmirova. They pride themselves on their versatility as musicians, with their repertoire spanning from Baroque to Contemporary music, blending styles including Folk, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Pop with the Classical canon. They feature their diverse musicality through experimental arrangements using Violin and two Voices alongside their primary instruments. 

Please note: summer school students can attend all concerts free of charge (without a ticket).

Weston Studio theatre is located in the Edge Building - University of Bath

By car: parking is available in the East Car Park (to access this car park you should enter campus via Norwood Avenue).  Check the website for details East Car Park
