#SHEisIPA Kristina will be discussing unconcious biases and how it relates to policing.
In this presentation titled "Trauma informed Unconscious Bias in policing," we will delve into the biology of unconscious bias, exploring how it functions as a survival mechanism inherent to all humans. We'll examine how trauma influences these biases and their implications, particularly within policing contexts. Understanding the origins and manifestations of unconscious bias is essential for fostering fair interactions and enhancing community trust. Join us as we uncover strategies to recognize and manage these biases in ourselves and our professional practices.
