From Fragmentation to Whole
Healing the Self, Restoring the Sacred: Pathways to Human and Environmental Wellbeing
Contemporary humanity faces converging crises - spiritual and mental illness, environmental degradation, the dissolution of family and communal bonds, and a deepening alienation on every front. The Islamic spiritual tradition does not treat these as discrete technical problems. They are the symptoms of a single rupture: the modern desacralization of the human being, of creation, and of the relationships that bind them.
This knowledge retreat suhba traces the tradition’s diagnosis and its cure - the soundness of the qalb as the hinge on which the wellbeing of self, society, and creation turns; the recovery of sacred time, sacred space, and sacred relationship; and the turāth engaged not as historical archive but as a living guide for navigating turbulent times.
