Intimacy with Strangers & Friends
Multiple dates and times

Description
Intimacy with Strangers, and Friends.
These are shorter, smaller, versions of the larger Intimacy with Strangers events, each one will take on a feel of its own depending upon participants and their input on the day. These are free, but a small donation to cover costs will be gratefully received with a suitable receptacle made available on the day.
We can all feel like strangers, whether we have known someone for a few minutes, or years!
Intimacy only takes place with connection, trust (in yourself and others) and feeling safe. Intimate connections can last a minute or a lifetime. This is an afternoon to explore and discover your own boundaries, and respect others, in a mainly non verbal way.
With Intimacy with Strangers we are looking to discover intimacy in a safe, playful, and held space, where you can explore your boundaries at your own speed, gaining insight into the felt process of saying yes and no with your body. We are exploring body language but more in the felt sense, and we are exploring ours and others body language without chasing any prescriptive outcomes. There is a natural evolution during the evening learning how you feel at this particular time, in this particular space, with these particular people. Conscious connection is something that is difficult to put into words. Participants are welcome to explore as much, or as little as they feel comfortable with.
‘The felt presence of immediate experience, this is all you know, everything else comes as unconfirmed rumour.’ Terence McKenna
I have deliberately not expanded on things, or made this too wordy, these evenings are experiential and as such really need as few words as possible to avoid muddying the waters. We could any mystical or esoteric practice but the principle is still the same, me I come more from a Taoist, Zen, East End approach. People like to be touched, and to touch, physical connection is an innate drive/need and under all the social and cultural conditioning we are just animals looking to make our way through this world.
There is somatic work for these small events, but very much a conscious sexuality event as well.
There will be a slow build up with partner and group work, and time to explore what feels right at your own pace, also some conscious touch and felt boundary exercises to start. As an experiential experience, the more these are repeated and practiced, the more you will learn to trust yourself to express your yes and no, and recognise others without words. This will not change your life, but it might add a little more belief and trust in people and yourself.
There will be 2 massage couches available and some suggested themed areas for people to explore in the 2nd hour. I will be holding space and available for any advice or inspiration. We will have a short closing ceremony to finish.
We are going to step over societal boundaries at your own pace.
‘Love doesn’t demand conformity. Love offers freedom’. J. Krishnamurti
The title Intimacy with Strangers, and some ideas, are taken from my good friend Miki Fossati and his work Intimacy with Strangers: An Exploration of the Soul
