Vinyasa Krama Practice Day

Sat 25 Apr 2026 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Wells Museum, BA5 2UE

This event in now ending at 4pm, the cost is reduced from the original poster.

A Practice Day to bring together those inspired & enthused about authentic and ancient yoga, for the simple reason of feeling peace, alongside the more apparent benefits of yoga like relaxation, health and fitness. Vinyasa Krama is a lineage of yoga from Sri T Krishnamacharya (known as the Father of modern yoga), as taught (for over 30 years) to Srivatsa Ramaswami. There will be balanced practices put together from the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the major sequences, plus looking at some of those major ones in more detail. You will gain a greater understanding of Vinyasa Krama yoga – knowledge and inspiration how to practice at home and use this vast system to your benefit, individually.

We will also practice ‘mudras‘, important still positions held for longer, plus ‘Bandhas‘ (specific muscle contractions), both having a significant effect on body/ mind. Practices will culminate with meditation, aiming for peace arising naturally from your efforts.

This integrated approach gently energizes the body, focuses the mind, calms the nervous system and promotes physical and emotional health. It is true to yoga’s ancient roots. Do join me to go deeper in your yoga journey or start a new one.
